Shane Dean – Professional Chef, Culinary Consultant & Aircraft Mechanic
Shane Dean is a seasoned professional chef and consultant with nearly
three decades of experience in the culinary industry. After an early
career as an aircraft mechanic with America West Airlines, Shane
transitioned into the culinary arts following a company-wide layoff in
the mid-1990s. Seizing the opportunity, he enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu
in Scottsdale, Arizona, graduating in 1995 and launching a career
defined by creativity, precision, and leadership.In 2009, Shane moved to Colorado and began working as a field
technician for Round Mountain before taking over operations at The
Feed Store in Westcliffe, CO, where he successfully revitalized the
business over a three-year period. His consulting work includes new
restaurant openings in both Colorado and Arizona, such as Brues
Alehouse in Pueblo and Gertrude’s at the Desert Botanical Garden in
Phoenix.Today, Shane balances his culinary background with his mechanical
roots—working in a lab in Silver Cliff, CO, while also serving as the
aircraft mechanic at Silver West Airport (Butler Field). His unique
blend of technical skill and culinary artistry reflects a lifelong
dedication to craftsmanship, adaptability, and excellence.Shane’s Menu
